The administration, faculty, and staff of Brusly Middle School believe that each of our students can
acquire basic skills in reading, language, math, science, and writing regardless of their current academic achievement,
family background, socioeconomic status, race, or gender. We firmly believe that the school's primary goal is to provide quality instruction to all
students to enable them to achieve academically. At the same time, we believe that we should strive to help students develop into responsible citizens with
caring attitudes about others. We sincerely agree that it is our responsibilty to teach all students so that each may reach her/his highest potential.

The administration, faculty, and staff of Brusly Middle School believe that:
-
school should teach skills to prepare students' minds and bodies for academic challenges and responsibilities while promoting self-discipline;
-
a good school is one which recognizes that teachers, administrators, parents, and the community members share the responsiblity for educating our youth and preparing
them to become confident and self-directed learners;
-
a successful student is able to perform at diverse levels, solve academic problems using reasoning and deduction; learn, grow, and function successfully
in school and perform productively in society;
-
an effective classroom is one which reflects a setting conducive to learning, and one where students learn more, accomplish more, and believe in themselves so
that they can leave feeling more successful;
-
a good teacher is one who realizes that teaching is not a job but a commitment, and one who is concerned about the students and the school community as a whole;
-
an effective faculty is one that is committed to educating children, envisions the mission and shares the responsiblity for advancing the mission;
-
a quality instructional program includes faculty, staff, and students actively working toward a successful goal-setting and decision-making program that strives for excellence.
