West Baton Rouge Parish uses a Three Tier Reading Model to address the reading needs of all K-3 students. This model allows for 90-100 minutes of core reading instruction plus an additional 30 to 60 minutes of intervention instruction for any child not reading on grade level.
Our core reading program in grades K-5 is Success For All. To learn more about this highly successful researched based program you can visit their website.

Math Expressions-Houghton Mifflin is a complete mathematics program for K-5. It is the result of the Children's Math World's Research Project conducted by Dr. Karen C. Fuson. It was developed within the context of both national and international mathematical reform movements. Math Expressions is designed to incorporate the best of both traditional and reform mathematics curricula.
