“L.U.E.S. Pass That Test” Motivational Pep Rally

The faculty and staff at Lukeville Upper Elementary School hosted the 1st Annual “L.U.E.S. Pass That Test” Motivational Pep Rally on Friday, March 7, 2008.  The purpose of the pep rally was to motivate and encourage the student body to do their best on the upcoming Louisiana High Stakes Testing- LEAP and ILEAP.
 
The faculty worked really hard pulling this day together. The theme for the day was “ I LEAP, U LEAP, WE ALL LEAP FOR LUKEVILLE”  The day began with the ILEAP/LEAP Blitz- where the students rotated from class to class to participate in educational games and also the STAR LAB.  The moment the students had all been waiting for was the pep rally.  The cheerleaders, dance team and the actors and actresses were composed of the faculty and staff. Our very on, Mrs. Thomas, principal, was a part of the Lukeville Lynx cheerleading squad.  The students enjoyed cheers, dances, and a skit.  A special appearance was made by Kermit the Leap Pass that Test ILEAP Frog, none other than P.E. Coach, Mr. John Morris.  A grade level Spirit Competition was held with the 1st place Spirit Stick going to the 5th graders who performed the ILEAP Shuffle to the tune of Cupid Shuffle.

Special guest for the day was Mr. David Corona, Superintendent and Associate Superintendents, Mrs. Sharon Lair and Mrs.  Annette Mire who joined the students in the Cha-Cha Slide.

Community Readers at Lukeville Upper Elementary
