These activities were created for the purposes of integrating the Writing Wings program and the Houghton Mifflin text, supplementing both programs, and making English lessons more fun. It is not intended to replan any of the Writing Wings Lessons. All compents outlined in the manuals should still be incorporated. The additional activities linked below should just provide a bridge between writing and grammar lessons and can be used to supplement your lessons.

The LEAP 12 pt. rubric is linked on Day 10 of each unit for assessing student's writing. For the purpose of scaffolding the traits of writing for the students, certain traits can be omitted from the rubric in the first few units at your discretion.
