Creating an Electronic Mardi Gras Parade (Directions in pdf format):
- Create your floats
- Take a picture of their float
- Take a picture dressed up as “Queens” of the parade.
- Upload images to S: drive
- Break up into partners
- Show how to use the photo album.
- Each group will create a parade using images from S: drive.
- Each parade must include images, clipart, music, and colored background.

Introduce
Explore the games on the CD
Show teachers how to save a PP and add to it/edit it. Show teachers how these PowerPoints were created.
Show how to do PP I Am Amazing in Unit 2 and I SPY in Unit 4 (clear box to connect sound)
Empty Full PP – Unit 9 (connect sound to words to create a game)
Number Combinations – Unit 11 (overlay a shape to create one giant answer)
Parts of a Plant – Unit 13 (same picture repeated several times to create the presentation)
In groups of two, Teachers then create a PowerPoint game to go with the SFA curriculum.

Day 2

Promethean Activities:
- Introduce
- Explore the flipcharts on the CD
- Show teachers how to open and save a flipchart and how to add to it/edit it. Show teachers how these flipcharts were created.
  - Sorting shoes in Unit 2 (sorting)
  - Who’s your Favorite Character in Dr. Seuss unit (graphs)
  - Labeling Instruments (an activity)
  - Sorting Clothes in Unit 8 (adding page notes)
- In groups of two, teachers create a promethean activity to go with the SFA curriculum

Kid Pix Activity:
Use Kid Pix to create their own Picasso in the likeness of Large Heads. Print out and frame pictures to create a Picasso Art Gallery OR make a virtual museum of paintings.
