Dear West Baton Rouge Parish Schools Family,
Welcome back for the Spring Semester of 2022. We had a great first semester thanks to the hard work of our students, our teachers, our building leaders and staff, as well as all those that serve at the district level. It seems like yesterday that we were all wishing for 2020 to end because 2021 had to be better. Well, I think 2021 was great even though the challenges didn’t really slow down. We choose to cherish every moment of every day because we never know what the future holds.
We are more confident than ever that together we can overcome whatever challenges we may face in 2022. That is because WBR has great students, talented and caring staff members, and a supportive community. We also want to say thank you to our teachers and all employees that strive to ensure that our students receive high quality instruction and character building experiences each day, regardless of the circumstances. That being said, to kick off the Spring 2022 semester we are excited to announce the recently selected WBR Teachers and Principal of the Year: *Winners by school are listed with the District Level Winners are in red.
WBR TEACHERS OF YEAR 2021-2022
WBR 2021-2022 Principal of the Year
May will be here in the blink of an eye and we will be celebrating with our new high school graduates, the Class of 2022, as well as our other students for another successful school year. We invite you to stop by and see all the great work going on in our schools.
Again, thank you for your patience and understanding during such an unusual and challenging fall semester. We remain focused on helping every student maximize their potential by inspiring academic excellence and providing character building experiences. We will continue to work to meet the needs of all students, prepare them to achieve more than they think is possible, and “Make Awesome Happen”.
Happy New Year!
