    The WBR Skilled Craft Construction Trades Academy is proud to offer a variety of pathways that lead to careers in the high-demand industrial and residential construction sectors, petrochemical, maritime, and more. Whether at school or through partnerships with local accredited NCCER training facilities and post-secondary schools, WBR is able to offer these program options both during the traditional school day and after hours for students seeking more scheduling flexibility.

     

     Welding

    NCCER Electrical Pathway:     The NCCER Electrical Pathway prepares students for careers in the skilled craft construction trades as electricians, first-line supervisors, and valve installers. In addition to core classes, students in this pathway will take electives in NCCER Electrical, first responder, business and computer applications, and career awareness. Students graduating with a Jump Start TOPS Tech Career Diploma also exit with Microsoft Office Specialist certifications, First Responder Certification, and NCCER Core and Electrical certifications. Students graduating with a TOPS University high school diploma may also exit with dual enrollment college credit or Advanced Placement college credit when completing eligible courses with qualifying scores. Please note that some NCCER courses are taught off-campus, or after school hours. All NCCER skilled craft courses have selective admission requirements with respect to attendance and disciplinary status.

    NCCER Welder & Welder’s Helper* Pathway:     The NCCER Welder & Welder’s Helper* Pathway prepares students for careers in the skilled craft construction trades as welders, welder’s helpers*, first-line supervisors, cutters, solderers, pipefitters, steamfitters, boilermakers, maintenance and repair workers, sheet metal workers, structural metal fabricators and valve installers. In addition to core classes, students in this pathway will take electives in NCCER Welding, first responder, business and computer applications, and career awareness. Students graduating with a Jump Start TOPS Tech Career Diploma also exit with Microsoft Office Specialist certifications, First Responder Certification, and NCCER Core and Welding certifications. Students graduating with a TOPS University high school diploma may also exit with dual enrollment college credit or Advanced Placement college credit when completing eligible courses with qualifying scores.     NCCER Carpentry Pathway:     The NCCER Carpentry Pathway prepares students for careers in the skilled craft construction trades as first line supervisors of helpers, laborers and material movers, supervisors of construction and extraction, carpenters, cabinetmakers and bench carpenters, drywall and ceiling tile installers construction laborers, & carpenters helpers. In addition to core classes, students in this pathway will take electives in NCCER Carpentry, first responder, business and computer applications, and career awareness. Students graduating with a Jump Start TOPS Tech Career Diploma also exit with Microsoft Office Specialist certifications, First Responder Certification, and NCCER Core and Carpentry certifications. In addition to core classes, students in this pathway will take electives in NCCER Pipefitting, first responder, business and computer applications, and career awareness. Students graduating with a Jump Start TOPS Tech Career Diploma also exit with Microsoft Office Specialist certifications, First Responder Certification, and NCCER Core and Pipefitting certifications.     Workplace Safety Pathway:     The Workplace Safety Pathway prepares students for careers in multiple aspects of manufacturing, construction, related industrial careers as safety managers (also applicable to selected hospitality and retail careers).
