James Jackson
Our principal, James Jackson was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He graduated from McDonogh #35 Senior High School in 2000 and moved to Baton Rouge to attend LSU. In December 2003, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from LSU and later a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Southern University in 2008. Mr. Jackson began teaching in the fall of 2004. He spent three years at North Highlands Elementary and another three at Southern University Laboratory School. He then became the Assistant Principal at Brusly Middle school before becoming the Principal at Devall Middle School. Mr. Jackson became PAHS principal in 2013. He enjoys spending time with his extended family and two children, Ariel and Sean. He spends the rest of his time rooting for the New Orleans Saints, LSU Tigers, New Orleans Pelicans and of course, our Port Allen Pelicans!

John Williams
Meet our Assistant Principal and Athletic Director John Williams. Mr. Williams is a proud graduate of Port Allen High School. After earning a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Southern University he returned to his alma mater in 1991 to begin his teaching career as a science teacher. He coached football and was the Head Track coach for his alma mater where he led the pelicans to 4 state championships and 2 runners up. Later, he became Assistant Principal and Athletic director. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Wanda Franklin, and he is the proud father of 2 children, Leslie and Austin, who are also graduates of Port Allen High. He enjoys relaxing in his man cave, tinkering in his garage, and watching Port Allen High sporting events. Go Pels!

Kim Cox
Coach Cox was born in Jackson, MS, and raised in Lake, MS. She graduated from Lake High School in 2003. While at Lake High School, she played softball and basketball and won numerous accolades, including winning the basketball state championship in 2000-2001. After high school, she attended East Central Community College in Decatur, MS on a basketball scholarship, where they won region and state championships and was ranked #7 in the nation in 2003-2004. After graduating from ECCC in 2005, Coach Cox attended the University of Tennessee at Martin in Martin, TN on a basketball scholarship. In 2008, she graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in Business Administration. She completed her Master's of Education in Secondary Education with a concentration in social studies. Prior to starting her teaching career at Port Allen High, she served as the assistant girls basketball coach at Lake High School from 2011-2013 and as a student mentor to a very special young man (Jadorrian Pace), a special education paraprofessional at Brusly Elementary (2013-2014), and she was a student teacher at Brusly High School (Fall 2014). Family is extremely important to her; most of her free time is spent hanging with them. Coach Cox is blessed to have two great parents (Margaret and Grover Cox Jr.). She is the youngest of 5 children, and has 1 niece and 6 nephews.
