Walt Lemoine

Native of St. Francisville, LA, Mr. Lemoine earned his BS degree from Nicholls State University and his Masters from Southern. He came to Brusly High School in 1988 and taught social studies and PE and coached basketball along with football, baseball, and girls track along the way. He is married to the former Gina Alleman and they have 2 children, Annie Beth and Walt Jr. both graduates of BHS. He is a proud grandfather of Mary Ellis Haydel, who attends Brusly Elementary, and Caroline Haydel. This is Coach Lemoine's 19th year as principal of Brusly High School.

Dr. Jesseca Johnson

 Dr. Johnson was named the Assistant Principal of Instruction of Brusly High School in the summer of  2021. She is a graduate (2004) of  East Iberville High School in St. Gabriel, Louisiana. She began her career at East Iberville as an after-school paraprofessional for the Project Impact Program. She also worked as a counselor for Carville Job Corps. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in English Education with a minor in African American Studies from the Dolores Margaret Richard Spikes Honors College at Southern University and A&M College (2010). After becoming a certified teacher, she became an English Teacher at Zachary High School, at which time she taught English II, English IV Honors, and Dual Enrollment. In addition, she was a Sponsor for the Senior Class and the Interact Club. She later received a Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership (2013) from Southeastern Louisiana University. After that, she left Zachary and relocated to Alabama to pursue a doctorate. While in Alabama, she worked at Baldwin Arts and Academics Magnet School. There she taught English 7 and was the English Department Chair. She was also on the school’s leadership team. In 2019 she completed her studies and earned a Doctorate of Education from Alabama State University with a concentration in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Law. Dr. Johnson is a dedicated lifelong learner who enjoys writing and presenting at conferences.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, shopping, traveling, and volunteering with area youth.

Jason Lemoine

Jason Lemoine, 14th year as an educator. He is a graduate of LSU 2003 with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. In 2013 he earned a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. Jason also played college baseball for SLU and Southern University. Jason worked twelve years at Livonia High School then moved to Brusly High School in 2018. Jason was an Algebra I teacher for eight years then moved into an administrators position in 2014. He was also the Head Baseball Coach for twelve years and Won a Baseball State Championship in 2011 in Class 3A.
 
Jason is married and has two kids. He is also an elected official as a member of the Pointe Coupee Parish School Board.
