Erikka Wishom is a native of Tallahassee, Fl. who moved to Baton Rouge, La. in 2001 on an athletic track scholarship to attend Southern University Baton Rouge. Mrs. Wishom majored in Secondary Education and began teaching middle school social studies in 2006. In 2010 Mrs. Wishom received her Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling with an ancillary in School Counseling. She became a high school counselor in 2010 and kept that position until earning her certification in Educational Leadership in 2015, becoming an assistant principal. While serving as a school counselor, Mrs. Wishom also served as the girls Track and Field Head coach at Madison Preparatory Academy, leading her team to 2A State Runner-Up in 2015. In 2016 Mrs. Wishom was inducted into the Southern University sports Hall of Fame for track & field. She has worked at a start-up Type 2 charter, magnet, public, and boarding school. Mrs. Wishom has been married since 2011 to Kylon Wishom. They have 3 children and enjoy athletics and outdoor activities.
Heather Day grew up moving around as an Air Force Brat but has lived in Baton Rouge since getting married in 1995 and considers Louisiana her home. She is a National Board Certified Teacher who earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Southeastern Louisiana University and her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Louisiana State University. In her spare time, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband and son, playing tennis, and doing anything outdoors.
