Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Haley Barnes is a graduate of Catholic High School of Pointe Coupee and Louisiana State University, where she received her bachelors and masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorder. She has been a licensed Speech Language Pathologist since 2003. Since that time she has worked with clients ranging in age from 8 weeks to 103 years of age! Her passion has always been working with school age children and their families to help ensure academic success. She joined West Baton Rouge Parish Schools in 2012 after being placed as the school based Speech Therapist for Chamberlin Elementary and Devall Middle School. After a 2 year adventure living and working in California, she returned to WBR Schools. Now working with students at Port Allen Elementary and Port Allen High School, Mrs. Haley takes pride in motivating her students and helping them find the tools to succeed within themselves. She takes an active role in assisting her students on Community Outings and events, such as the Special Olympics. When not working in WBR Schools, Mrs. Haley continues to work remotely for Pediatric Therapy Network in Torrance, California; promotes uplifting, empowering, and validating other women through her Younique Makeup Business; and volunteers as Secretary for the Eagle Parent Organization for her son’s school. In her free time, Mrs. Haley enjoys doing anything with her husband and son, especially hiking, spending time on False River with family, watching movies, and going to arcades. Most importantly, she loves being a part of the PAHS school family! Go Pels!
