Meet Superintendent Wesley Watts
Superintendent Watts is a native of the Greater Baton Rouge area where he was born and raised in Central. He graduated from Central High School in 1987 and attended McNeese St. University on a football scholarship. After graduating from McNeese in 1992, he began his teaching and coaching career at Lee High School. In 1993, he returned to his alma mater to teach Science and coach. He became the Head Basketball Coach in 1998. He worked at CHS for 16 years serving as Head Basketball Coach, Dean of Students, and Athletics Director. In 2009, he became the Assistant Principal at Zachary High School. In 2010, he became the Principal of Zachary High School where he served until his appointment as Superintendent of Schools for West Baton Rouge Parish in 2014.
Wes has been married to his wife Jodie for 26 years. They have two children, Tyler (24) and Kellie (22). Tyler is married to Danielle and they have a new baby girl, Remi Rosalie, born February 21st, 2017.Tyler is a Graphic Designer for the family business, AAS Company, and Kellie is an Esthetician at Avant Tous Beauty Bar and Salon.
