Welcome to the Human Resources Department of the West Baton Rouge School District.
The West Baton Rouge School District has 640 employees with approximately 350 teachers. The Department of Human Resources is responsible for handling all of the district’s personnel matters, including recruiting and hiring of employees, onboarding and orientation for new employees, contracts, overseeing licensing and certification for staff, tuition reimbursement, the annual evaluation process, professional development, and processing staff leaves. The Human Resources team works together to help achieve the West Baton Rouge District’s mission of preparing every student for success through high-quality instruction and character building experiences.
Our teaching staff is the most highly qualified and experienced in the area. More than half of our teachers have ten or more years of experience and a master’s degree or higher
