Joe Burrow Foundation Brings "Healthy Body, Healthy Mind" Initiative to Port Allen Elementary
PORT ALLEN, LA — Students at Port Allen Elementary received an inspiring visit from representatives of the Joe Burrow Foundation to deliver its signature "Healthy Body, Healthy Mind" initiative.
Designed to empower young learners, the assembly-style program introduced second-grade students to key daily habits that support both physical and mental well-being.
Built around four core pillars inspired by NFL quarterback Joe Burrow’s personal wellness routine—nutrition, exercise, sleep, and self-regulation—the interactive presentation taught children how everyday choices impact their growth and confidence.
During the visit, organizers engaged students with age-appropriate lessons on building healthy routines. To reinforce these principles at home, every participating second grader received special takeaway items and educational resources provided by the foundation.
"We are incredibly grateful to the Joe Burrow Foundation for bringing this impactful message to our campus," said school staff. "Teaching our young pandas the connection between physical health and mental wellness sets a strong foundation for their lifelong success."
The Joe Burrow Foundation continues its commitment to addressing food insecurity and supporting youth mental health across Southeast Louisiana and Ohio.
