West Baton Rouge Parish is celebrating an exciting milestone in education as Lukeville Elementary School and Port Allen Elementary School have been honored as 2024–2025 Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase Schools®. This prestigious recognition places both schools among a select group nationwide that have demonstrated a strong commitment to building positive school culture, strengthening student relationships, and fostering academic excellence through the Capturing Kids’ Hearts process. The West Baton Rouge Museum in Port Allen will once again host an exhibition of art from Talented Art students across our district. The show will be on display from April 19 through May 11. A reception, including live music and light refreshments, is scheduled for Friday, April 25 from 6-8 PM. Admission is free.
