Our 4-H members explored how easily germs can travel from one food to another! Students first made a “steak” out of playdough, and we sprinkled a little “bacteria” (glitter) on top. Then they were asked to create a burger using the same playdough. As they worked, students were able to clearly see how germs can move both inside and outside of food—just like in real kitchen situations. It was a fun, hands-on way to learn about cross-contamination and the importance of food safety!💚💛
