Mrs. David and Ms. Addie’s Kindergarten students have been reading into the story Rap A Tap Tap in ELA! After reading, our friends created their very own Bojangles figures and added pennies to the bottom of his feet so he could “tap dance.” The kids loved bringing the story to life with this fun, hands-on activity! 🎶👞

Mrs. Blank's Social Studies class learned about Ancient Mesopotamian writing and then wrote their names in Cuneiform.

Our Kindergarten Blue Jays explored the concept of one more today! Students worked together to put numbers in order and then built number stairs with manipulatives to see how each number grows by one. Great hands-on math fun

We are super proud of our September Students of the Month! These students exemplify what it means to be a Blue Jay. Congratulations!

More from Friday's hat and ice cream reward day!

Tomorrow is the last day to purchase a BLUE JAY CARD!

2nd grade plant investigation, PART 2!

This week our 2nd graders investigated how plants get water and sunlight by observing leaves and roots. Then, they had the opportunity to taste raw sugar cane, connecting investigations to real-life experiences!

Students enjoyed the ice cream sandwich reward on Friday!!

After reading the story Fry Bread, our kindergarten students got hands-on with their own “fry bread” using playdough and their five senses! They rolled the dough into balls, flattened it like pancakes, and placed it in the pan to “hear” the sizzle and pop. What a fun and engaging way to bring the story to life!

Hiring!

Thanks to our parents and grandparents who attended the parent meeting this morning! It was very productive and we appreciate all of your input. More information will be coming out soon about how YOU can get involved!

Congratulations to our girls volleyball team for winning their game against Plaquemine this evening! GO BLUE JAYS!!
