🎉 Celebrating Growth for Our Students With Disabilities! 🎉
Amid the strong LEAP performance across West Baton Rouge, we are especially proud to recognize the success of our students with disabilities.
In grades 3–8, the percentage of students scoring Mastery or above grew from 9% to 14% — a 5-point increase! When including high school results, our growth continues with a rise from 9% to 11% system-wide.
This progress reflects the dedication of our students, teachers, and support staff. Every gain is a step toward greater equity and achievement for all learners. 💪📚✨

It's almost time to welcome our newest Pels. Join us August 5th for Freshman Focus in the Performing Arts Theatre!

Shoutout to our football and boys basketball teams! 🏈🏀
Today, these young men showed up and showed out at the West Baton Rouge Community Resource Expo — lending a hand to vendors, sharing smiles, and even jumping into a game of flag football with the kids! 🦾
Their leadership, energy, and community spirit were on full display and we couldn’t be prouder of how they represented PAHS.
Go Pels! 💙

Senior Photo Day Information
Tomorrow, we will begin taking senior photos.
✅ Only formal photos will be taken – tux/drape and cap & gown.
❌ No casual photos will be done, so there is no need to dress up in other outfits.
What to wear:
• Females: Wear a top that can easily slide off the shoulders to accommodate the drape.
• Males: Wear any solid black or white t-shirt or a muscle shirt so it will not show through the white dress shirt.
• Bottoms: Any bottoms are fine – these are headshots only.
Location:
All photos will be taken in the Dance Room.
Please park in the back by the gym, and you will be directed where to go.
Payments:
No payments will be given to the photographer at the session. Photos are included in your senior fees.
Viewing Photos:
A link will be provided at the session for you to view your photos online.
Important:
If you arrive late, you will need to wait until I have finished with other seniors before your photos can be taken. This may mean waiting until the next available time slot.
Thank you for your cooperation!

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Port Allen High School alumna, Clerice Lacy (Class of 1993). Ms. Lacy was a proud Pelican whose spirit, kindness, and legacy touched many lives within our school and community.
She was very instrumental in the Port Allen community and supported the school in every way possible including stressing the importance of our seniors registering to vote. She also participated in our Homecoming parade and festivities every year and encouraged others to do the same.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to her daughter, Angel (Class of 2022) and the entire family during this difficult time. Please know that the thoughts and prayers of the entire Port Allen High School family are with you.
Once a Pel, always a Pel. 🕊💙

🚨Dress Code Alert 🚨
Black bottoms have been added to the student dress code! Khakis are still allowed and all bottoms must be in compliance with our student handbook.
No jeans or tights allowed.
Belts must be worn.
