National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day takes place each year on February 15. The SRO assignment is unique within the law enforcement profession. These sworn law enforcement officers serve as informal mentors, law educators, and law enforcement officers to support the students and communities they serve. They are valuable and essential members of the education community who deserve unwavering respect and support from the public in the pursuit of keeping schools and students safe.

Don’t let the name “Mom Prom” fool you—this event is for ALL women, not just moms! Sure, I should have seen the confusion coming, but hey, it rhymes, and I’m a sucker for good alliteration.
Every dollar raised goes directly to Brusly Middle School, and I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of that. But let’s be honest, this night is going to be amazing, and I’m going because I want to have fun with my friends and create new ones in the process. Maybe that’s your reason too!
