They began with part fat and part flour and are practicing the different stages from blonde to dark brown, which is the base for all our classical French mother sauces that they will be making over the next couple of weeks! Thanks to a generous donation from the West Baton Rouge Parish Foundations Grant, students are able to use this JET Benchtop Oscillating Spindle Sander to finish project with precision!

Our Cosmetology II students learned about acrylic nails today! Great job!💅

Checkmate meets craftsmanship!
♟️🪵 Our Carpentry students are building checker and chess boards for the March 14 Spring Sale, while Drafting students are designing and 3D-printing the pieces! 🖨️👏 These student-made games are a perfect blend of skill, creativity, and strategy.

🩸💉 Our Certified Medical Assistant students practiced finger sticks today and learned how to find veins and draw blood using our phlebotomy arms. Hands-on learning that’s preparing them for real-world patient care!🩺

🔩⚙️Students kicked off hands-on work with their robotics kits, beginning construction of the chasses for their custom-designed robots!🤖🦾

💡⚡Industrial Electronics and Electrical students welcomed industry professionals from GIS Electrical Instrumentation to campus. They shared insigths on the value of NCCER for career growth, how students can connect with ther company, and what a career in electrical instrumentation really looks like. Students had the opportunity to ask real-world quesitons and gain firsthand industry perspective.🔌🔋

🍗🔪 Getting hands-on in ProStart! Our students rolled up their sleeves and learned how to properly break down a whole chicken—building knife skills, confidence, and a deeper respect for where food comes from. Skills like these are the backbone of any great kitchen!🐔
