🎉 We are bursting with pride after the K-2 STEM Competition at the WBR Career Academy! 🎉 Our youngest innovators had a blast putting their skills to the test with Lego building, maneuvering Spheros, constructing bridges, and more! The creativity and teamwork on display were incredible!

Thank you to all the students and volunteers who made this event a huge success. We can't wait to see what these brilliant minds will create next!

Thank you to the WBR School Board, Dr. Smith, and our community for supporting the installation of the turf field at Brusly High. The finished product is beautiful and will enhance the high school experience for our athletes, spirit groups, and band. -Hoff Schooler, BHS

Our Pro Start I students whipped up savory ham and cheddar scones 🧀🥐 and learned the proper canning method for delicious apple butter 🍎—a perfect blend of culinary skill and science!

Meanwhile, our Culinary Occupations students brought restaurant vibes to campus with their restaurant-style tacos 🌮—fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared!

We’re so proud of these talented chefs in training who continue to sharpen their skills and serve up excellence every day! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

🚑 Hands-on learning in action! 👏

Our Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) students practiced how to safely lift and transport patients through the building today. 💪🧍‍♀️➡️🏥

Working together as a team, they carried a “patient” while focusing on proper technique, communication, and safety — key skills for any future first responder! 🩺🔥

We love seeing our students step into real-world scenarios and build the confidence they’ll need in the field. 💙🚨

💡 Our students put their skills to the test this week by using what they’ve learned about electrical components ⚡ and soldering 🔧 to create their very own working lamps! 🛠️✨

🤖 Students explored the principles of soft robotics by creating their own silicone molds. 🧪 They poured liquid silicone into molds and embedded materials within them to simulate how flexible prosthetics and robotic components are designed. 🦾

Once the molds set, students tested their creations by pulling and flexing the embedded materials 💪 to observe variations in resistance and movement. 🔍

Through this hands-on experiment, students gained a deeper understanding of how engineers use soft robotics to develop lifelike, functional prosthetics and assistive technologies. 💡👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

They’re practicing how to check a pulse and using our Anatomage table to explore how the heart pumps blood throughout the body. 🔌 Industrial Electronics - Sharpening their soldering skills and building circuits
🤖 Robotics - Building and programming robots from the ground up!
🖨️ Drafting - Designed and 3D printed custom desk organizers
💉 Nursing - Diving deep into cell composition and the building blocks of healthcare
🚑 EMR - Mastering patient safety techniques and victim transport procedures
🍫 Culinary - Created delicious molten lava chocolate cakes (yes, they were as amazing as they sound!), Quiche Loraine, and Chicken Pot Pie!
