We hope you enjoyed your long weekend. As you may know, September is attendance awareness month, tomorrow's pop up attendance incentive for being on time and present at school is to wear a Caneview spirit shirt with uniform bottoms.

We can't wait to see all of our Blue Jays tomorrow!

Blue Jay Families - We are excited to announce 4-H enrollment is now open to all 1st-8th grade students at Caneview K-8 School! Students will be split into grade bands for 4-H meetings at school. Please use the QR code to sign yourchild up to be a member of 4-H.

September is designated as Attendance Awareness Month to highlight the critical role consistent school attendance plays in student achievement and long-term success.

STEM 6th–8th graders put their engineering skills to the test by designing bridges—learning how to distribute weight while building a structure that reaches new heights! 🌁🌉

🎨 Hands-on in the art room! Our talented students are hard at work creating original pieces for the Louisiana Sea Grant Strategic Plan Art Contest! 🌊🦀

They are bringing Louisiana’s coastal ecosystems, resilient communities, and fisheries to life using paintings, drawings, photography, and 3D media.

We're excited for our first MTSS Bash for 1st-8th Grade on October 9th! Be sure to check out the criteria so your child can attend!

Ms. Webre's second-grade classes completed their first team-building challenge, working in groups to create the longest paper chain possible using only the materials provided. Students were introduced to the concept of being engineers, which they will continue building on in science. All three classes demonstrated exceptional teamwork, communication, problem solving, and perseverance as they worked through challenges together! 📚

Mrs. Henry's 5th grade science classes have enthusiastically embraced their learning as they explore Earth's daily patterns and the fascinating stars that surround us!

To kick off their first English module, A Season of Change, Mrs. Laprarie brought the seasons to life! 🍂☀️🌸❄️

Students started by seeing her dressed for all four seasons, which got them thinking and talking about how the seasons affect what we wear and do. Then, they got to “taste the seasons!” They sampled different foods and worked with friends to decide which season each one came from.

Such a fun, hands-on way to build background knowledge and get our second graders excited about their first module! 💛

Push, pull, and GO! 📦💨 Mrs. Jarreau’s 3rd graders had a blast exploring forces in action as they put moving boxes to the test!

Geography detectives, recess explorers, and lots of color for fun Friday! 2nd graders spent the week noticing, wondering, investigating habitats, enjoying recess, and showing off their favorite colors for Fun Friday! 💕✨🌎
