Mrs. Blank dissected a cow eye to review the structure and function of the eye before their Unit 2 Science test. Students compared the real eye structures to diagrams and models they used in class!

Parents, We Need You! Become a Substitute Teacher in WBR Schools
WBR Families, we are always grateful for your partnership, and today we’re asking for your help in a special way. West Baton Rouge Schools is in need of substitute teachers, and we would love for our parents to consider joining our team.
If you’ve ever thought about helping out at school—even just a day or two each month—this is a wonderful opportunity to support our students while maintaining a flexible schedule. Substitutes receive weekly pay, free training, and the chance to make a meaningful impact right here in our community.
Kelly Education and WBR Schools will host a hiring event on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 9 AM–1 PM at the WBR School Board Office (3761 Rosedale Road, Port Allen). Their team will walk you through everything you need to get started.
