What a busy week! Thank you to all of our parents and family members who came to our Veterans Day Books & Bravery Literacy Night! Our students played synonym, homonym and vocabulary BINGO, made bookmarks, wrote letters to military veterans, played musical chairs, and shopped the book fair. Winners of the games were able to choose books from our very own book vending machine! We appreciate your participation and support!!

CONGRATULATIONS, WBR TEACHERS OF THE YEAR!

Our West Baton Rouge Parish Early Childhood Teacher of the Year! Congratulations, Ms. Cline!

Mrs. Messer's students have been reading "The Star People." In this activity they had to put events in order and tell about the characters and setting in each event. She is so proud of their hard work!

Holiday Picture Day is next Tuesday, November 18th. Only students who are paying for pictures may wear free dress. Please see second image for more details.

Ms. Haley and her student did a Veteran’s Day play activity yesterday to celebrate! They discussed how each vehicle is used by our soldiers and how our soldiers keep us safe.
Mrs. David and Ms. Addie’s friends explored measurement today! They estimated how long a piece of yarn would need to be to match the length of a watch, then compared to see if their yarn was longer than, shorter than, or the same as. We even had some extra fun measuring each other!

Congratulations to our 2nd grade winners of the Upper Delta Soil and Water Conservation Poster Contest! Our 1st place winner won $50 and will continue on to the state level. The 2nd place winner was awarded $40 and 3rd place was awarded $30! The contest was for grades K-6, so this was a huge achievement for these 2nd graders! Congratulations, Blue Jays!
