2nd grade plant investigation, PART 2!

This week our 2nd graders investigated how plants get water and sunlight by observing leaves and roots. Then, they had the opportunity to taste raw sugar cane, connecting investigations to real-life experiences!

Students enjoyed the ice cream sandwich reward on Friday!!

After reading the story Fry Bread, our kindergarten students got hands-on with their own “fry bread” using playdough and their five senses! They rolled the dough into balls, flattened it like pancakes, and placed it in the pan to “hear” the sizzle and pop. What a fun and engaging way to bring the story to life!
