National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day takes place each year on February 15. The SRO assignment is unique within the law enforcement profession. These sworn law enforcement officers serve as informal mentors, law educators, and law enforcement officers to support the students and communities they serve. They are valuable and essential members of the education community who deserve unwavering respect and support from the public in the pursuit of keeping schools and students safe.

Most children learn new behaviors by copying those around them; we have a powerful opportunity and responsibility to teach kindness by example. We are excited to celebrate National School Counseling Week. This week is dedicated to honoring the important work of our School Counselor and the valuable support she provide to our students.
Our school counselor plays a vital role in creating a positive learning environment by helping students navigate social, emotional, and academic challenges. Throughout this week, we will be highlighting the many ways our counselors support our school community and encourage students to reach their full potential.
To celebrate, we will be engaging in a variety of educational activities that focus on topics like kindness, and teamwork. We also invite parents to show appreciation for our counselor through a simple note or kind words.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to making this week a special one for our students!

BES families please join us on Tuesday, February 4, 5-6 pm for Math Night.
We will have fun math activities and students can earn a prize and a dress pass. You also have the opportunity to bid on some of our Silent Auction items. The class with the highest percentage of students to attend will receive a cookie cake party on Friday, February 7.

Another great day to be a BES 4H Cloverbud! As we started to close out our social emotional unit in our curriculum earlier this month, we are certain on how we can better serve our community. It all starts with how we treat each other! 🍀
❄️ SAVE THE DATE ❄️ Brusly Elementary PreK presents our Winter Wonderland Father Daughter Dance! The dance will be held on Friday, February 21st at the Addis Community Center from 6-8 pm. Photos will start at 5:30 pm. All ticket sales will be online. We will post the link to purchase tickets at a later date, so be on the lookout! $28 per couple + fees This is a dressy event for girls that attend BES Headstart, PreK, Kindergarten, & 1st Grade and their male role model. All donations will fund PreK activities/field trips. 🖤❤️🐾
