Here’s what’s cooking in the cafeteria this week!

Ms. Cassie’s class had so much fun on their Senses Walk ! 🚶♀️🚶♂️✨
They explored the world around them by noticing:
👀 Things they could see – colorful leaves, fluffy clouds, and tiny bugs!
👂 Things they could hear – birds chirping, leaves crunching, and the wind blowing.
✋ Things they could touch – rough tree bark, smooth rocks, and soft grass.
👃 Things they could smell – fresh air, flowers, and nature all around us! 🌸🌳

February is all about continuing to build strong relationships, kind choices, and responsible habits at school! Through our Capturing Kids’ Hearts lessons, students are practicing how to treat others with respect, make positive decisions, and take ownership of their actions in the classroom and beyond.
Families play such an important role in reinforcing these skills at home! You can help by:
✔️ Talking with your child about ways they show kindness
✔️ Praising responsible choices
✔️ Encouraging them to use respectful words—even when things feel tough
Thank you for partnering with us to help our students grow socially, emotionally, and academically. We are so proud of the progress they are making each day!

Ms. M’s students are mastering their CVC words with “Tap it, Sing it, Say it” in Fundations! 🎶📖 So much engagement, movement, and phonics power in action!

🌟 In honor of Black History Month, our Kindergarten and 1st grade students are learning about Ruby Bridges through creative writing and a virtual visit to her school using VR goggles. Throughout February, students are learning about historical figures who helped make our world more fair, kind, and inclusive. 📚

Dear BES Kitten Families;
Our Brusly Elementary School Book Fair is here! Students will begin to make their Wish Lists this week!

🫧🔬 Mrs. Fair and Mrs. Annette’s students became young scientists in STEM! They explored what happens to bubbles in a mixture of soda and food coloring, then tested straws vs. cups to see which made the biggest bubbles. 📚✨ The learning continued with interactive stories and practicing how to place objects in their proper positions. Hands-on learning at its best! 🌟

Ms. Mulmore's Kindergarten class celebrated Kindness week last week, too! ♥️
