We are thrilled to announce that we are launching the Beacon Connect Family App on MONDAY!
We know that keeping track of your student’s commute is a top priority. With the new Beacon Connect Family App, you’ll have real-time visibility and updates right at your fingertips. See more information here: Go Beacon App Information
What can you do with the app?
Live Tracking: See your child’s school bus location in real-time.
Custom Notifications: Set up "Alert Zones" (like Home or Grandma’s house) to get notified when the bus is nearby.
Arrival Updates: Receive alerts for boarding, arrivals, and any unexpected delays.

Being at school each day, and arriving on time, makes a huge difference in your child’s learning, friendships, and confidence. When students attend regularly, they stay connected, build strong routines, and don’t miss important instruction.
Let’s work together to make attendance a top priority this month!
✔️ Schedule appointments after school when possible
✔️ Aim for on-time arrival every morning
✔️ Send doctor excuses to the office
Thank you for partnering with us to support our students’ success. We love seeing our classrooms full!
Our fundraiser is in full swing, and we need your help! We have currently raised over $10,000 toward our goal.
In addition, every single student who signs up gets to participate in the fun—so don’t miss out on the medal dash!

Growing Big Opportunities for Little Learners! 🐔🌻
Check out the article about our Brusly Elementary School Barnyard! Students here enjoy hands-on learning through an outdoor classroom, chicken coop, incubation stations, and gardens right on campus.
This incredible project was made possible through strong community partnerships, the leadership of the West Baton Rouge Extension Office, and the generosity of local sponsor Jeannette Thomason, whose support helped bring this vision to life.
From planting gardens to learning where food comes from, our students are gaining meaningful experiences that connect agriculture, science, and sustainability.
Thank you to everyone who helped plant the seeds for this amazing learning space! 💚

We know mornings can be tough! If your child is feeling okay and does not have a fever, vomiting, or other major symptoms, please send them to school. We are here to help them learn and grow!
If your child is truly sick, keep them home and send in a doctor’s note when they return. Together, we can build great attendance habits early! 💙🏫

Week 3 check in! If students raise $200, they now participate in the Tiger Tumble and Foam party!

🌟 CKH Character Trait of the Month: Courage 🌟
This month, our Capturing Kids’ Hearts character trait is Courage. Courage means being brave and doing the right thing—even when something feels hard or scary. 💪
At school, we are encouraging students to show courage by:
⭐ Trying their best
⭐ Telling the truth
⭐ Asking for help when they need it
⭐ Standing up for what is right
Families can support this at home by praising children when they try something new or face a challenge with a brave attitude. When we celebrate brave choices, we help our students grow stronger and more confident every day! ❤️
Let’s work together to build courageous kids! 🦁

He checked the hallways and fire extinguishers to make sure they were ready for use if we need them.
He wrapped up his hard work with a special treat — well deserved! 🍦👏
We are so proud of Officer Liam for taking his job seriously and leading with responsibility and school spirit! ❤️🖤
